Rough and Ready

Sophisticated rustic was the theme for this renovation near the Sonoran Desert. We renovated the whole home with this thought in mind. A dated family room looked into the kitchen. I started with a stacked stone fireplace and removed the cutout entertainment center. The custom finish on the cabinets, bronze vent-hood and gourmet appliances add the sophistication the client was seeking.

The chiseled edge granite counter-tops on the island and wood plank tile floors add to the rustic appeal, as do the island pendants and travertine backsplash. The same finishes carried into the bathroom. Bronze fixtures and neutral porcelain tile added texture to the small space. The warmth of the stone and fixtures brings a cozy feeling though out the home. The client loves the ease the home brings to them after a long day at work.
